Referring to bricks which have a density equal to or greater than 2000 Kg/m3, and which have a very strong mechanical resistance. They can withstand high temperatures but are not insulating. They are generally used for the lining of melting furnaces or ovens exposed to high mechanical or chemical risks. For your home projects, they are ideal for making barbecues, fireplaces, wood stoves and all other types of ovens. These refer to bricks which have a density equal to or less than 1250 Kg/m3. They are used in situations where it is not necessary to conserve heat. These bricks are ideal for insulating concrete in melting furnaces, or as a first layer of insulation for linings or heat treatment ovens. They can also be used for the manufacturing of various heating equipment.

These bricks of lesser density are used as an underlay or 2nd layer (cold side only) for your furnaces and boilers. They must not be in contact with the flame and are regularly used in pottery or art glass. We offer two bricks, the Hipor 450 and the Poros 500, chosen for their high quality.
